A Magical Hogwarts Christmas

Thursday, 11 December 2014

I grew up waiting for my letter to Hogwarts. From the first chapter of The Philosophers Stone I was hooked. I devoured book one to three and waited patiently for each new book to arrive after that. I became completely antisocial until I finished each new book. It was so easy to get lost in the world of witchcraft and wizardry. I've been looking forward to visiting the studio since it opened but found it hard to find the time. When I read that the tour was decorated for Christmas when I was visiting London I was sold.
Outside the great hall.
Jacket Vintage (See Paris Post) // Shorts H&M// Jumper H&M// Over the Knee Boots Stradivarius// Fluffy Key Chain River Island// Bag Penneys
There was a demonstration of how they created the fake fire and snow in the movies but I was clearly distracted.
Saving the best for last the model of Hogwarts in the snow really is magical. I would recommend the tour for anyone Saoirse my friend hasn't read the books and has only watched one of the films (don't worry I'm gonna make her watch the rest over christmas) and she really enjoyed it too!

Recently I went to visit a friend from college in Manchester. She was moving apartment and having a little house warming party so it was the perfect excuse for a little girly trip.
Jacket H&M// Top Topshop// Jeans Dr Denim// Bag New Look// Boots Dunnes Stores

I flew over that morning so I wanted to wear something comfortable but I knew we would be out shopping and going for lunch so wanted a nice casual outfit. This H&M jacket is a wool material so it was really cosy and I love this blue bucket bag from New Look it's the perfect size for travelling and the colour is amazing.
Manchester is a really gorgeous city and perfect for a little city break if your looking for somewhere close to Dublin. The flight is only 30 minutes.  The shopping is amazing. We stopped at this little jewellery store in the centre of the city. Well not jewellery it was full of beads and crystals and you make up your own bracelets or necklaces. Perfect for a personal gift, so I made a bracelet for my sisters birthday.
So many pretty beads, needless to say I took a while choosing. I had such a nice weekend catching up, it's hard to stay in touch with everyone when you finish college, so its nice to spend time together when you can.

Chasing Waterfalls

Thursday, 16 October 2014

The last morning of our little trip we explored our beautiful hotel. Starting the day with a little coffee in our room. The rooms face onto the water falls, the views are so cool. The noise from the water is really peaceful we left feeling very zen.

The bed! The best part of our stay was this bed its humongous!! Literally had the best sleep, I really don't think this picture does it justice but it was seriously comfy.
For breakfast we had croissants and perfectly poached eggs. I was seriously impressed with the croissants, after just returning from Paris my expectations were high and I had no complaints.
After breakfast every morning we went for a swim. I really think I need a pool in my house. The best way to wake up!
Another cute feature of the hotel were the stables unfortunately we didn't have time to actually go horse riding but we went to meet the horses anyway.
My cosy knit is Zara. I'm in love with how long and snuggly it is.
We've already decided to go back next year so hopefully we'll get to go horse riding then!

Ring of Kerry

The second day of our trip to Kerry we decided to drive along the coast.  The drive is a popular tourist route called the Ring and of Kerry. I'd never been to Kerry before and I really didn't realise how much there was to see.

River Island Cape (similar here) // Topshop Scarf (similar here)// H&M Boots (similar here) // All Saints Cuff (similar here
We stopped at Muckross house for tea.  It felt a little like being in Downton Abbey wandering through the lawns.
Then we made a little friend who posed for all my pictures :)
When we seen this gorgeous blue water along the way we had to stop and have a nose. This tiny beach is in the small town of Waterville. The water was so clear it was like a tropical sea!
Our last stop was a totally different landscape, gorgeous tall leafy trees. All the leaves were  changing colour so pretty and autumnal. During the day it really felt like it was changing season, typical Irish weather.
